The third UK Fastnet 6.50 race reaches its conclusion

Shortly after midday on 12 September 2009 Pogomen, sailed by Francois Champion and Arnaud Herson, crossed the finish line of the Royal Western Yacht Club of England to win the Series class and complete the Barratt UK Mini Fastnet 6.50 2009 Race. The Barratt UK Fastnet 6.50 2009, kindly sponsored by Barratt Homes, is organised by the Royal Western Yacht Club of England in association with Classe Mini. The race departed Plymouth on Sunday 5th July 2009 for the Eddystone Light, then the Needles (Fairway Buoy), Bishop Rock Light, Fastnet Rock, Cork (Fairway Buoy) before finishing at The Royal Western Yacht Club 720 nautical miles later. While twenty five Classe Mini Yachts entered, only twelve yachts (five proto and seven series boats) started.
