KNIGHT'S CHALLENGE

KNIGHT'S CHALLENGE is a Sigma 33' belonging to Janet Sainsbury and Mac Keight, who have owned her for 2 years . Used to be called Arges a couple of owners ago. We have done club racing for the first season with a couple of jog races and longer cruises and last year qualified in RORC races for the Fasnet, in which we finished OK but not fast enough. I don't feel we have got to the bottom of her yet! KNIGHT'S CHALLENGE - click to enlarge
Janet Sainsbury - Skipper
Janet Sainsbury, 62 a community nurse. Started sailing in 1993 when I took a dinghy sailing holiday in Greece and joined the Channel Sailing Club in Epsom and started navigation classes, both theory and practical. I still have my original GK 24 in which I did club racing and a few races to Alderney both single and two handed. On a friend's yacht I cruised in the Med and the Caribbean , and did an Atlantic crossing and 3 Fastnets, but still have a lot to learn.

Carole Sunter - Co-Skipper
Started sailing dinghies about 20 years ago and graduated to yachting on moving to Southampton in 2000 on a Dufour Arpege and have co-owned a Legend 326 since Easter 2002. Have recently gained RYA yachtmaster theory and Sea Safety Certificates. Most sailing has been 2-handed in and around the Solent with extended cruising across the Channel to Northern France, the Channel Islands and the Scilly Isles. Assist in organising inter-club racing for Southampton Water Sailing Association.
