Henk Bulthuis - Skipper
Danny Kronenburg - Co-Skipper
Danny Kronenburg and Henk Bulthuis sail on ChillOut!, one of the first J/109’s on the water in Europe. Last year they sailed The Fastnet Race as qualifier and the North Sea Race as well.
Danny has a lot of sailing experience both in long distance racing, around the cans and delivery trips, mostly out of Scheveningen on the North Sea. He is married to Esther and living in The Hague.
Owner Henk has been sailing over 10.000 miles with ChillOut! So far, not only in regattas but also cruising with the family in Norway, Denmark, South and East UK and France. Last year Henk won Open Class division 1, IRC handicap and J-UK Cup during the Petit Bateau Channel Raceweek. For this achievement he also received the Saltire prize for rookie of the year.
In 2001 he crewed the UK based Reflex 38 Forward Thinking in the ARC becoming 3rd in IRC. In 2002 he participated with ChillOut! In the Colin Archer Memorial Race from Holland to Norway and came second in class. The next year he won both the RORC North Sea Race and the Vuurschepen Race. He participated in many single and dual handed races. He won Two handed Around North of Holland (Muiden – Ijmuiden) twice on line honours. He and his wife were winners of the 24 hours Race of Holland as the only two handed boat in a field of over 300 boats.
Next to this Henk is chairman of the J/Club Benelux and Race coordinator for the Dutch IMS/ORC class organization. Henk is married to Emilie and has a daughter of six years old. He owns a consulting firm.
