ALACRITY
ALACRITY is a Traveler design by the American multihull designer Dick Newick. An update of his famous design "Moxie" (the winner of the 1980 OSTAR), ALACRITY was built in 1999 by Lone Star Multihulls (Texas) of carbon, glass, Corecell, and epoxy.
ALACRITY is 15.2m long and 11m wide, and weighs 4500 kg. The carbon wing mast is 21m high, and the standing rigging is all Kevlar and Spectra. Upwind sail area is 123 m2, and the offwind sail area is 237 m2.

Rex Conn - Skipper
Rex Conn has been sailing multihulls for 35 years, including more than 60,000 offshore miles racing and cruising.
Rex is a software developer and lives with his wife Celeste on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland (USA).
Etienne Giroire - Co-Skipper
Etienne won his class in the 1992 OSTAR, raced in the Whitbread in 1989-1990, and has done a number of transatlantic races, including the Discovery Race and the Quebec - St. Malo race. Etienne is the owner of the sailing equipment company ATN, Inc., and lives with his family in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (USA).
